JACK
DANIEL’S vs THE MACALLAN ON TWITTER
JACK DANIEL’S
Jack Daniel’s twitter page has 195k followers. It has
total 3,008 tweets and it was started in September 2010. They seem to be quite
active on twitter as they tweet every one or two days. Same as their Facebook
page, they tweet about a variety of things. They tweet about their product as
well as about various other whiskey and their brand related things.
They have received total 3,094 likes and most of their
posts get average likes between 300-500 likes.
On March 2 they tweeted a post that has a recipe to
make a cocktail using JACK DANIEL’S Old No. 7 Tennessee Whiskey. It received
297 likes, 73 retweets and 9 comments which are quite less considering their
195k followers.

On
27 February, they shared podcast of their Master Distiller Jeff Arnett where he
talks about whiskey world and what makes Jack Daniel’s so unique. It received
very less response with only 125 likes, 24 retweets and 2 comments.

Overall,
we can say that their posts do not get a good response. But they seem to be
using 50/50 rule as they share other information alongside promoting their
brand,
The macallan
The
Macallan started their Twitter page in July 2009 and have 47.7k followers and
6,558 tweets till now. They tweet after every one to two days, which shows that
they are quite active on twitter. Most of their posts even failed to receive 100
likes in total and they do not get even 10 comments on their posts.
On
February 21, they announced via tweet that they will be releasing 465 worldwide
for their The Macallan 40 Years Old – 2017. This
post received 195 likes 195 likes, 55 retweets and 9 comments in total.

On March 2, they posted about the online availability of their
Macallan Ruby 1824 series and also attached the link to shop for it. It received
100 likes, 25 retweets and only 3 comments.

The minimal response on both of these posts show that they were
not a success and failed terribly.
They do not seem to use 50/50 rule as all their posts are just
concerned to promote their brand only.
well done
