DANIEL’S vs THE MACALLAN ON youtube
Jack Daniel’s
Jack Daniel’s Youtube channel has a total of 11,017 subscribers
only. They have uploaded total of 428 videos till the date. They seem to post 3
to 5 videos per month. They get mixed response for their videos. Some of their
videos only get 50-100 views where as some videos have a total of 250k to 350k
views. They share various information on their Youtube channel including their products,
their making videos and other whisky industry related videos.
One of their recent videos showed the glimpses of their collaboration
with Nike to make Nike Aire Force 1’s Jack Daniel version. It received a total
of 758 views over a period of two weeks. So the response was below average
considering Jack Daniel’s to be a well-known brand. So the post was a fail.

In their other post, they introduced their honey with a caption
- Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Honey – A Friendly Introduction to their video. It received a total of 41k
views and 18 likes which can be only considered a less than average response.

They use 50/50 rule quite well on their page by promoting their
brand as well as other industry related information as well.
the macallan
The Macallan have only 2,723 subscribers on their Youtube
channel. They have also uploaded 64 videos in total. All their videos as
related only with their products and their brand. They video uploading
frequency is very low. They do not even seem to post one video per month.
One of their recent video was an interview with star wars actor
as well as whisky enthusiast Scotch Trooper. This video received only 378 views and 13
likes.

One other post had a video showing the
crafting of their casks in which their whiskey is aged. It received a 1000
views and 16 likes and no dislikes. So this post was also not a success for
them.

They seem to be not using 50/50 rule here as well as they tend
to promote only their brand through their channel.
