JACK
DANIEL’S vs THE MACALLAN ON FACEBOOK
JACK DANIEL’S
Jack Daniel’s has more than 16 million likes and followers on Facebook. The posts on the page
include pictures of their Whiskeys as well as some other interesting photos
that show some other stuff relating to them such as picture of their old
distillery and photos showing their hometown Lynchburg. They also post various
videos that shows their Whiskey in an interesting way to their customers as
well as giving glimpses of their distillery. They share some news as well.
Their captions are quite catchy and engaging. They post quite frequently on
their page.
As compared to their 16 Million likes and followers, the
response on their posts is really very poor. Most of their posts have only
500-3000 likes and most videos have between 10k to 30k views. This is quite
surprising as they have a big fan base.
Recently, they announced the launch of their Limited Edition Indian Motorcycle
Scout Bobber Motorcycle through a video post which received
10k views. They have also posted a video in recent time showing how to make an Old- fashioned shot of Jack which
has 29K views. The content of both videos was quite good but as mentioned
earlier they did not get the response that they should have got from the
16million fan base.
JACK DANIEL’S INDIAN SCOUT BOBBER-
MAKING OLD FASHIONED JACK SHOT-
Overall, they follow 50/50 rule as they along with promoting
their product keep people engaged on their page.
The macallan
The Macallan have 1
million likes and followers on their Facebook page. Their posts mostly
include the photos of their whiskeys. By looking at their page it seems that
they only focus to promote their whiskey on the page. It also seems like they
tend to post only once a week on their page as their posts are usually posted with
a gap of 6 to 7 days.
Same as Jack Daniel’s, they also receive very poor
response on their posts as most of their photos do not even get a 1000 likes
from their 1 million followers. The comments on their posts are only 10 to 20
and their posts are only shared by 15-20 people.
On February 22, they posted a photo of their HIGHLAND SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKEY bottle
which had a caption- ‘The perfect balance
of sherry-seasoned European and American oak. An experience to savour.’ The
post just received 509 likes and 12 comments.

On February 12, they posted a photo of THE MACALLAN SIENNA Whiskey bottle
which just received 701 likes and 15 comments.

Macallan Sienna]
The Macallan does not seem to follow 50/50 rule on
their page as majority of their posts only show their product.
